My beach trip will begin in just a matter of hours and I still have not managed to finish one thing off of my list. I need sleep and I don't see myself getting any in the near future (I am at work right now). Oh well, maybe that means I will completely crash tomorrow night. The last thing I need is a brisk sleep walk along the shore.
I have a grumble tonight. I stopped on the way home from work this morning and bought a box of Froot Loops. On the front of the box, it said that there would be a fun Disney mini-plush inside. Yay! So, I got home and decided to go digging for my new toy (who cares about the fact that I am 31. Disney is for all ages.) After searching the box completely, I was upset to find that my box contained no toy. What a bummer! I am writing the company to complain. How dare they forget my toy?
Just wanted to say "Happy Weekend" to everyone. I will be back next Monday. Please keep us in your prayers for a safe and happy trip.

Oh Snap!
Hello. My name is Erin and I am a New Kids addict.
Are you really shocked? Yeah, didn't think so. Okay, so maybe I have another secret. You might want to sit down for this one....................are you sitting?.....................I think I love Jordan Knight. There it is. I said it. Don't get me wrong, I am still madly in love with Jonathan, but I am also completely "twixted". Aaaahhh...those wonderful Knight brothers.
"I can't fight this feeling anymore. I've forgotten what I started fighting for." - Thanks Amber. Perfect song to go with the moment. Although, to clarify, if I had to pick between Jonathan and Jordan (oh to be in such a predicament), Jonathan would still very easily win by a long shot.
(However, I am a puddle of goo everytime I watch the video for "2 In The Morning" and Jordan is saying "Wake up"...Oh snap!!!!)
Enough of that. I am going to the beach on Friday. Although I am super pumped to finally get the opportunity to do a few things in Myrtle Beach that I have wanted to do, I am really more excited about the fact that I will be spending time with my best friend. We don't get to see each other very often, so a random trip like this is exactly what we need. What kind of trouble can we get into now? Only time will tell.
I am also super excited about about my upcoming adventures in Greenville with the New Kids and my bishes! I booked the hotel last night, so it is starting to feel much more real. I know that it will be here in no time. Just my road trip with Amber should be an absolute hoot. Hopefully I won't drive through any bushes and get them stuck in the front grill of my car. I will also do my best to stop at each and every red light. If I happen to run a red light, I will not back through it in an attempt to correct my error. The sad thing is, these things have actually happened. (Amber, pull yourself together, get out of the floor, and stop that laughing!)
Oh yeah, in a parting note for the day, I have to tell you about my trip to the dentist on Tuesday. After my cleaning, I was waiting to schedule my next appointment. When I got to the desk, the lady asked me if I was a patient of Dr. Balls. I can't believe that there is actually a dentist named Dr. Balls. Gives a whole new meaning to "open wide". No, he isn't my dentist. I know someone out there is asking.

Clowns
I don't usually say this about anyone or anything, but I seriously hate clowns. And before you say anything, I am not using clowns as a metaphor for anything else. I am literally talking about clowns (you know, like circus clowns and those goofy clowns that make the balloon animals??). I am not quite sure where my fear of clowns originated. My best guess would be that I developed the fear after watching, "Killer Klowns From Outer Space", one too many times. Surely you've seen this quality movie. The clowns take over and turn people into circus peanuts and then drink them using their novelty curly straws. It was horrifying. It kinda made me leery of curly straws too for awhile, but we'll leave that story for another time. Anyway, I received a comment on MySpace earlier this morning and it said something like...
"Everything happens for a reason, except clowns. I mean, what the hell?"
I didn't even know that this person knew about my fear of clowns and maybe they didn't. It was so appropriate though. I totally cracked up! I had to share it. Hopefully you will get a laugh out of it too.
The New Kids on the Block were on the Today Show this morning. They had an amazing performance, as always. If you missed it, you should check it out. In fact, watching the entire last hour would surely give you a good laugh. I love those crazy guys!! They are so freakin' hilarious! I am not just saying that because I am a fan. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. They are so quick witted. The release of the "2 In the Morning" video takes place Monday on aol. I can't wait to see it. I have seen bits and pieces. I never knew, until a few days ago, that this song was so close to Donnie's heart. Now that I listen to it, I can totally understand how the song reflects his relationship with his ex-wife. I think that makes me appreciate the song so much more. I am not saying I know Donnie and Kim like that. What I am saying is that this song could be about any couple going through the same trials and tribulations. The song has a much deeper meaning, to me, now.
I am leaving work early tonight. There is an excess of staffing. I will happily take the time though. There are so many things to do! At this time next week, Jennifer and I will be listening to the ocean. I love our BFF trips!!! There is bound to be an abundance of mayhem.
6 Days until Myrtle Beach, SC
24 Days until St. Patty's Day with NKOTB

Haiku...breaking it down
So, I was conversing with Jennifer again today and we were discussing this whole haiku thing. It would appear that I have been incorrectly writing these fun little poems. So, to clarify, Jennifer looked up how to write a haiku and it would appear that it should be written as follows...
5 Syllables
7 Syllables
5 Syllables
So...a correct haiku would be as follows...
My bishes are best
We stand out from all the rest
You wish you were us
(Hey...I really like this one!)
Okay, now that I have admitted my faults and corrected the situation, I have to add that Regis and Kelly was wonderful this morning. Did you see all the fans there to represent for our guys??? Loved it! Now on to the Today Show. I can't wait. All of this excitement is wearing me down. I am looking forward to the weekend (and hopefully a wonderful nap). It is time to begin packing for my beach adventure with Jennifer. Wish me luck. I have to be honest, I am the queen of last minute packing. It is sad really. This trip will be different though. There is way too much going on around me to procrastinate.

Let's Get This!!
Just getting things started
I should start by saying that I am not good at keeping up with these things. I usually get caught up in something and forget that I even have a blog. I have decided to try it again though (thanks to my bishes). Hopefully this time I will have better luck.
As I write this, I am sitting here at work counting down the hours until the New Kids are on Live with Regis and Kelly. I can't wait! Nothing compares to starting my day off with a healthy dose of the New Kids on the Block. I suppose I sound a bit like a goofy 12 year-old. Honestly, I don't even care. These five guys came into my life almost 21 years ago and they have remained there to this day. Their music has brought me through some of the toughest times in my life. Needless to say, when their reunion was announced last year, I took up residence on cloud nine and I haven't come back down since. Through this reunion, I have seen some of my wildest dreams come true. I have had the pleasure of meeting the members of NKOTB several times and I could not have been more impressed. They are five of the nicest and most down to earth guys. Seriously, if you were to meet them on the street and not recognize them (and they weren't being followed by hundreds of girls), you would never guess they were celebrites. They are very grounded and for that, I could not be more proud of them.
Anyway, I should have guessed that I would end up rambling on about the New Kids. That seems to be where the majority of my conversations end up these days. Oh yeah, I think I shall leave you this morning with a Haiku. My best friend, Jennifer, and I have been communicating by sending one another a Haiku. You should try it sometime. You can seriously write a Haiku about anything!
In honor of NKOTB on Regis and Kelly...
